NVIDIA announces Ampere architecture GPUs for professionals
NVIDIA announced two new GPUs built on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, the NVIDIA RTX A6000, and the NVIDIA A40. The Ampere architecture is the same engineering science that powers the NVIDIA RTX xxx-series GPUs. Both cards feature new ray-tracing cores, Tensor cores, and CUDA cores that yield faster graphics, rendering, calculating, and AI than previous generations. The NVIDIA RTX A6000 will be bachelor in mid-December, and the NVIDIA A40 will be available early in 2022.
"The ability to double or triple the resolution and vastly accelerate our real-time visualization of massive, complex building models in cityscapes with the NVIDIA RTX A6000 is super impressive," said Pal Renner, visualization manager at Kohn Pedersen Pull a fast one on Assembly (KPF). KPF is a large architectural firm that utilizes the RTX A6000 to create complex building models.
NVIDIA also highlights the utilise of its new cards by Digital Doman, an University Award-winning visual effects company, and Groupe Renault, a massive car manufacturer.
The NVIDIA RTX A6000 and NVIDIA A40 characteristic second-generation RT cores, 3rd-generation Tensor cores, and new CUDA cores.
Dan May, president of Blackmagic Blueprint, shared thoughts after testing the RTX A6000:
"Nosotros were impressed with the significantly better performance we measured on NVIDIA RTX A6000 than the prior generation of GPUs, both with general grading functions also every bit our contempo AI-based tools. Its 48 gigabytes of chief memory greatly enhances Blackmagic RAW 8K and 12K camera workflows, making editing and grading performance fluid."
The NVIDIA RTX A6000 will be bachelor from PNY, Leadtek, Ingram Micro, Ryoyo, and on NVIDIA's website starting in mid-December. The NVIDIA RTX A6000 and NVIDIA A40 will exist available from vendors starting early in 2022.
